Questions

The things people actually ask.

How does billing actually work?

You create your venue and set it up — tables, buttons, staff — before paying anything. We invoice you for the first month, by e-Transfer or card, and your guest tags go live as soon as it clears. After that it repeats monthly until you stop it.

Is there a contract?

No. It's month to month and you can stop whenever. Annual is offered as a single yearly invoice if that suits your books better.

What does it cost to install?

Nothing. There's no hardware, no wiring, and no tablet to mount. We code the chips, stick them, and walk your staff through it in about twenty minutes.

Do guests need to download anything?

No — and this is the part that matters. Tapping the chip opens a web page. There is no app, no account, and no sign-in. Older phones without NFC scan the printed code instead.

Can somebody order from home?

No. The chip counts its own taps and puts that count in the address it opens, so the page can tell a real tap from a reload or a copied link. A seating lasts an hour, and carrying on means tapping the tag again — which only somebody at the table can do.

Does it take orders?

If you switch that on. You add your items, with photos and prices, and the guest sends them as one order with the tax and total shown before they tap. It arrives in the same queue as a request for water. We still take no payment — the bill is yours, through whatever you already use.

What if the internet goes down?

The guest's tap is stored on their own phone and sent the moment the connection returns. Staff phones keep working from their last known queue.

Do you take a cut of anything?

No. OnCue doesn't touch orders, bills, tips or payments. It's a flat monthly fee and nothing else.
